Snowshoe tour of the Village

Once the lifts close for the evening and the stars are out grab a pair of snowshoes and take a walk through the village. After your evening stroll, grab a steaming mug of hot chocolate fireside at the Chimney Corner Lounge.

 

Tobogganing

On select evenings at the Sunshine Mountain Lodge the ski runs turn into tobogganing hills. Ask for a toboggan from our front desk and have a blast sliding down the mountain trails that surround the village.

Tobogganing only available when there is enough snow to make the course.

 

BANFF's LARGEST OUTDOOR Hot tub

After a vigorous day on the slopes, unwind in one of Banff’s largest outdoor hot tubs. Complete the relaxation experience with a visit to our cedar-lined dry sauna.

 

 

 

after-hours at Mad Trapper’s

For adults looking for some after-hours fun, the Mad Trapper’s provides a historic and authentic old-lodge experience. Built in 1928 by the Canadian Pacific Railway, the venue has now been transformed into a rustic mountain pub.



Family and Activity Rooms

Sunshine Mountain Lodge features both a family room and an activity room equipped with pool table, Wii console,  and flat-screen TV. 
 

Trip into Town of banff

On Friday nights, you can head into Banff for the evening and catch the 10 p.m. last gondola back to the lodge. A shuttle bus is available to take you to and from the town of Banff.  See the concierge for details.

Sunshine Mountain Lodge has a variety of amenities and services to ensure your stay on-mountain is a remarkable one. Availability of some services & amenities are subject to current health guidelines. These amenities & services include:

  • One of Canada's largest outdoor hot tubs

  • Sauna (Cedar-lined dry sauna, co-ed)

  • Fitness room

  • Wireless internet service available

  • Complimentary equipment locker located conveniently on the ground floor of the West Wing. Each locker has space for equipment, including boots, helmets and outerwear. A boot drying rack is available. (Please note we do not allow equipment in the lodge rooms or public spaces).

  • SnowHost Tours - meet them at 11:45 AM each day in front of the Old Sunshine Lodge
